Monterrey Tacos™

Maybe the best birria I have ever had! The #9 was delicious, the perfect amount of food. Salsas are amazing. Guava Jarrito’s are great.

Stopping off Interstate 81 at exit 29 in Shippensburg is a breeze, and it's just a 5-minute detour that's totally worth it. Their fresh-pressed corn tortillas filled with pork are delicious, and the burritos, stuffed with yumminess, were equally satisfying. The hot sauce is hot, and all the flavors are delicious. With fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service, it beats any fast food stop for travelers!

Affordable and quite flavorful tacos. Al Pastor tacos were not too sweet. Definitely a fast service type place, Salsa Verde was very good at this place. If I return to Shippensburg I will get the birria ramen.

Another good mexican spot in the area. They were very nice and also let us try the meat of an item my mom wasn't sure if it'd be too spicy. I'd imagine they're good for to go orders.

Monterrey Tacos is an amazing place to grab some authentic, flavorful tacos! I visited my cousin in Shippensburg, and we decided to stop here together — and I’m so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and freshness in every bite. The tacos were a little messy, but it was that good kind of messy that just shows how much flavor and filling they pack into each one. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and welcoming — the kind of place where you can sit back and enjoy great food without any rush. The staff were friendly and made sure everything was taken care of quickly and smoothly. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their restaurant. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the food left me completely satisfied. It’s the perfect spot for anyone craving quality tacos and a relaxed dining experience. The next time I’m in Shippensburg, I’ll definitely be coming back to Monterrey Tacos. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone who loves fresh, flavorful Mexican food served with great hospitality.

I’m so glad to have Monterrey Tacos in town! I tried the quesabarria tacos and the street tacos with chicken. The quesabarria taco was absolutely phenomenal, and I would definitely get it again. The street tacos were also good but they have a good bit of onion on them and then they are served with sautéed onions on the side. So it’s a bit of an overload. The ingredients seemed very fresh. The service was friendly and extremely quick! I was so impressed and I’m looking forward to coming again! Keep up the good work!

We stopped at this place on the way back from a road trip. This place reminded me of a more traditional modern style Mexican place . The food had lots of cilantro and onion to add on the food which I loved!!! It was so fresh! The salsa I choose was hot with some flavorful spice and a kick! There were other mild options to choose from as well. The service was fast and food was hot . I had the vegetarian fajitas tacos and my boyfriend had the queso birria burrito . Definitely would recommend this place and we will be back!
